  1. Open the app (Photo, Mail, or Safari) and navigate to the content you want to share or act upon.
  2. Tap the "Share" button, which usually looks like a square with an arrow pointing upwards.
  3. In the share sheet that appears, scroll through the list of available actions and extensions.
  4. Look for the "SmartCalendar" extension in the list. If you don't see it, you may need to enable it by tapping "More" and toggling it on.
  5. Once enabled, tap the "SmartCalendar" extension to perform the desired action.

Do I need the app to view shared calendar events?

No, you don't need the app to view shared calendar events. While the app provides the best experience, you can view and download calendar events directly from any web browser.

What calendar formats are supported?

We support the standard iCalendar (.ics) format, which is compatible with most calendar applications including Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and others.

How secure are my shared links or QR codes?

We take security seriously. Calendar links and QR-codes are transmitted over secure HTTPS connections. However, anyone with the link can access the calendar event, so be careful when sharing sensitive information.

Does the app work offline?

The Smart Calendars AI app requires an internet connection for creating and processing calendar events.

What happens to my calendar data?

About the calendar, location, camera permissions

To provide you with the best experience, we ask for access to the following (optional) permissions:

  • Calendar: We need this to create and save events to your calendar. Without this permission, you won't be able to add events automatically.
  • Location: This helps us accurately add event locations. Location data is only used for event creation.
  • Camera: This allows you to scan event details directly from physical invitations, posters, or screens. The camera is only used when you choose to scan.
